Targeted Strength: Induction Hardening for Agriculture

Check out how Rototip uses induction hardening to provide targeted strength for demanding agricultural components.

For a customer in the Dutch agricultural industry, standard heat treatment wouldn't suffice. The components needed exceptional hardness on key surfaces to resist wear, but also required core ductility to handle impacts and stress. Rototip employed induction hardening, a precise partial heat treatment process. This hardened only the necessary sections, achieving the perfect balance of toughness and flexibility. While they might look rough around the edges, these parts are engineered to be tough and endure the demanding agricultural environment.
